    • 14th Nationwide UFB clears another hurdle

      A critical step in rolling out ultra-fast broadband to New Zealanders has been achieved. The Telecommunications Carriers’ Forum (TCF) is pleased to announce the completion of three of its Ultra-Fast Broadband (UFB) standards: Co-location Service, Ethernet Access Service, and OSS/BSS Business Interaction Framework.

    • 20th Draft ‘International Mobile Roaming Code’ released for public consultation

      The country's telecommunications industry is taking steps to improve consumer confidence in International Mobile Roaming (‘IMR’) services – particularly in relation to providing more transparency on IMR pricing, and on how best to use IMR services.

    • 13th Amended Customer Complaints Code released for public consultation

      The Telecommunications Dispute Resolution Scheme (‘TDR’) has undergone its scheduled 2-yearly review. Completed in June, the review has resulted in a number of recommended improvements to the service and to the guiding Customer Complaints Code. The draft amended code is now being released for public consultation. The deadline for submissions is 1 Feb 2011, with the improvements expected to be fully implemented by mid-year.

    • 8th 2degrees rejoins the TCF

      The TCF is pleased to announce that mobile network company 2degrees has rejoined the organisation.

    • 30th First companies sign Emergency Calling Code

      Kordia, Orcon, Telecom, TelstraClear and Vodafone have signed the Emergency Calling Code developed by the TCF to make sure that 111 calls are reliably delivered. More companies expected to follow.
