Reseller IPMS Access

The TCF operates the IPMS system to co-ordinate and manage the local and mobile Number Portability porting process in accordance with the Number Portability Determination. The parties required to comply with this Determination are persons who operate a PSTN to which numbers have been allocated and a telephone service that relates to Number Portability.

If a company meets the definition of an access seeker or an access provider under the Determination, they must apply to the Commerce Commission to become a party of the Determination (click on the New Entrants webpage to see the guidelines for new entrants). If a company who resells local and/or mobile telecommunications services requires access to the IPMS for the purpose of facilitating the Porting of Local Numbers and/or Mobile Numbers is not entitled to be a party to the Number Portability Determination they can apply for reseller access to the IPMS system by contacting the TCF Forum Administrator.
