Working collaboratively to reduce losses experienced in the telecommunications industry due to fraud and bad debt

Description

The Fraud and Revenue Assurance Working Party provides an ongoing forum for TCF Members to discuss issues relating to fraud, credit risk and revenue assurance; and where appropriate, to develop collaborative approaches to mitigating or reducing fraud.

This Working Party also provides a channel for Crime Prevention Partnership Forum, New Zealand Police and other relevant bodies to consult with TCF members on matters relating to telecommunications fraud and bad debt, enabling Police and the business community to work together to share information and undertake specific projects to prevent crime in the community.

Deliverables

  • Quarterly seminars on relevant fraud and revenue assurance topics for the telecommunications industry.
  • A forum to discuss issues and share information with a view to reducing telecommunications fraud and bad debt for the benefit of industry and its customers.
