What you need to know about changing service providers

For many people, once they have their home internet set up, they may only ever think about their service if they want to upgrade their speed or change their data plan. However, changing your internet service provider can bring savings, improved service or additional value through offers like free access to content streaming services.
Before you switch providers you should check the terms of your current contract. If you haven’t reached the end of the contract period you may incur an early termination fee. If you have a bundle of services (e.g. internet and power) you will also need to understand the implications if you choose to move only one service.
When you are ready to switch, contact the service provider that you would like to move your services to. They will guide you through the switching process.
