2degrees Mobile, Tier 1 Representative
Mark Aue became 2degrees Chief Executive on July 1, 2019, having joined the company as its Chief Financial Officer in July the previous year.
Kiwi-born Mark has more than 20 years executive leadership, with 15 years telecommunications industry experience. Mark has held a broad range of roles with Vodafone, where he was its CFO prior to joining 2degrees. He has also held global finance leadership roles with Vodafone group, based in the UK and worked as a consultant in FMCG.
Auckland based, with partner Kate and four children, Mark’s career has involved the delivery of above expected results via transformation that focuses on culture and the development of people.
Chorus, Tier 1 Representative
JB has held senior positions at Telstra and NBN Co. Most recently he was Chief Strategy Officer at NBN, and before this he oversaw NBN’s network and service operations.
Before NBN, JB held senior roles at Telstra including the Executive Director of Voice, BigPond and Media.
JB was also the CEO of IP telephony start up Interline, an Executive Director of the Australasian Media and Communications Fund and has worked in consulting and investment banking. He was born in France.
JB holds an MBA from the MIT Sloan School of Management (USA) and a Master’s Degree in Engineering from Ecole Nationale des Ponts et Chaussées (France).
Spark New Zealand, Tier 1 Representative
Jolie Hodson is Chief Executive of Spark New Zealand.
As Chief Executive Jolie is responsible for ensuring the company has a sound strategy and applies her leadership to delivering on that strategy, while building a leadership team around her and a business that can adapt to the fast-changing world of digital services.
Her appointment to Chief Executive in July 2019 followed a substantial career with Spark, leading most components of the operating business over a period of six years.
Having joined Spark in 2013 as Spark Chief Financial Officer, Jolie played a pivotal part in repositioning the business from a ‘telco’ to a ‘digital service provider’, securing its return to growth in 2016. In 2016 she became Chief Executive Officer of Spark Digital, Spark’s ICT services division delivering digital solutions to a wide range of New Zealand business.
Following Spark’s 2018 transition to Agile, Jolie was appointed Customer Director for Spark, which required a strong understanding of dynamic and competitive markets and clear insight into what our customers value.
Prior to joining Spark, held a number of executive roles for Lion Group Australia, after starting her career with Deloitte's.
Vodafone, Tier 1 Representative
Jason is the CEO of Vodafone New Zealand and joined Vodafone Group in April 2018 from Spark New Zealand where he was Chief Executive Officer of Home, Mobile and Business.
Prior to his time at Spark, Jason held senior executive roles in Europe and New Zealand across the technology, media and retail industries.
Vocus Communications, Tier 2 Representative
Mark has over 15 years’ experience in the telecommunications industry. He began his career with Telecom before joining CallPlus. As CEO of CallPlus, he has been a key driver behind the growth and success of the company. Under Mark’s leadership, CallPlus developed a strong leadership position in the industry and has been widely recognised as the ‘consumer champion’, driving change in the New Zealand regulatory and competitive landscape.
After it’s sale to the M2 Group in 2015, Mark has continued to lead CallPlus New Zealand and has joined the executive team in Australia.
Mark holds a Bachelor of Management Studies from the University of Waikato and completed Leadership for Senior Executives with Harvard Business School.
Trustpower, Tier 3 Representative
David is Chief Executive of Trustpower Limited and a non-independent Director on the Board. He was appointed CEO in Jan 2020 in an acting capacity following the departure of the previous CEO, Vince Hawksworth. David was most recently the Chair of the Interim Committee for Climate Change. Prior to this, he was Chief Executive and Managing Director of Opus International Consultants. He also served on the Board of Directors for Opus as a non-independent and executive board member.
David graduated from the University of Edinburgh with a Bachelor of Engineering (Hons) degree and a PhD in Engineering and came to New Zealand as a Civil Engineer in 1997. He was Chairman of Business New Zealand’s Infrastructure sub-group for 5 years, is a member of the Institute of Directors, and a Fellow of Engineering New Zealand. David was also appointed as Chair of Martin Jenkins in Dec 2019.
