The amended TCF Disconnection Code was released earlier this month for public consultation.
The Code sets out the principles and guidelines which telecommunications providers should comply with in developing, operating and applying disconnection policies for residential customers. The Code’s high-level objective is to provide a fair and consistent disconnection standard across all Service Providers who are parties to this Code.
The Code has been updated to incorporate the TCF’s compliance regime, the Code Compliance Framework, and to reflect consistency with the Emergency Voice Calling Services Code.
Submissions on the revised Disconnection Code close on 15 March. Copies of the revised Code and information on how to make a submission can be found here
