Mobile Messaging Services & Mobile Content Code Review

A Working Party was set up in August 2012 to review the Mobile Messaging Services Code in order to bring it into line with the new TCF Code Compliance Framework (CCF).

In February 2010 the TCF endorsed the self-regulated code for Mobile Messaging Services (the Code). The Code encourages the responsible delivery of Messaging Services that are compliant with legal and regulatory obligations.

A Working Party was set up in August 2012 to review the Code in order to bring it into line with the new TCF Code Compliance Framework (CCF). In addition the Code is due for general review and TCF Working Party Members have agreed to review other aspects of the Code to clarify some of the requirements around running different services. This includes merging the existing TCF Mobile Content Code into the revised Mobile Messaging Services Code.
