Interception Guide for TICSA

Helping telecommunication service providers comply with the Telecommunications (Interception Capability & Security) Act

What it is

A set of interception guidelines for industry to streamline the TICSA compliance process by clarifying the requirements for both the solution architectures and interfaces so that the requirements of any Surveillance Agencies are met in a consistent, cost and time efficient manner.

Purpose

The purpose of the Interception Guidelines is to assist Network Operators and Service Providers in complying with the Telecommunications (Interception Capability & Security) Act (TICSA) in an efficient, timely and cost effective manner.

These guidelines :

  • Have yet to be updated to reflect changes to the Act (now TICSA)
  • Must be read in conjunction with the TICSA as the TICSA takes precedence over these guidelines.
